How Intravenous (IV)
Therapy Works

IV therapy consists of infusing vitamins, minerals, amino acids and antioxidants directly into your bloodstream, allowing these nutrients to flood your cells. By bypassing the digestive tract, you receive 100% of the nutrients given, and we can adjust your doses to give you precisely what your body needs.

What We Offer

Conveniently located in Nashville, we offer customized infusions based on your medical needs and health goals as well as specific IV infusions that you can choose from following an initial evaluation.

For customized infusions we evaluate your symptoms and choose which nutrients would most benefit you. Whether you are looking for immediate relief of symptoms, support for overall health and vitality, a jumpstart to a detoxification program, enhanced athletic training, or support for weight loss or healing from a medical condition, you may benefit from IV therapy.

At Vitality, we use therapeutic, medicinal doses and offer pushes, infusions and intramuscular injections. We offer specialized nutrient testing to evaluate which nutrients you are deficient in, and we can tailor the IV therapy based on your values.

IV Therapies

Myers Cocktail

Named for the late John Myers, MD, this therapy consists of a combination of B vitamins, calcium, Vitamin C and magnesium. It has been used for years to aid in the treatment of chronic medical conditions like asthma, migraines, fatigue, fibromyalgia, chronic sinusitis and seasonal allergies.

Glutathione

One of the strongest antioxidants in the body, glutathione can be given as a stand-alone infusion or can be given after the completion of other infusions. It helps to combat stress and decrease inflammation in the body. It is a strong detoxifier and can improve metabolic function.

NAD

This “miracle” molecule is found in all cells and declines with age and with alcohol and drug use. It activates enzymes in the bloodstream called sirtuins, which promote healthy cellular function, decrease oxidative stress and support the mitochondria.  READ MORE ABOUT NAD HERE

High Dose Vitamin C

Given at lower doses, Vitamin C is known as an antioxidant, but at higher doses (10-15 grams IV) it induces a pro-oxidative effect, which may be helpful in targeting chronic illnesses due to viruses, bacteria or cancer.

Poly MVA

Poly MVA is not offered many places in Nashville, but we have it! It has many of the benefits of NAD+ without the infusion wait time. Poly MVA binds alpha-lipoic acid to the mineral palladium with B1, B12, minerals, molybdenum ruthenium and the amino acid forml-methionine. Like NAD+, Poly MVA is a major mitochondrial support, providing healthy cellular metabolism and energy to the body. Unlike an NAD+ infusion, which can take hours, Poly MVA can be infused in 20-30 minutes.

Methylene Blue

Methylene Blue is a dye that can be used to treat cyanide poisoning and methemoglobinemia. Over the years we have found it to be an excellent mitochondrial support and can be used to provide energy, mental clarity and focus. It also has antimicrobial activity against certain viruses and bacteria, including Borrelia species, which cause Lyme disease and Bartonella, a coinfection that often accompanies Lyme disease. It has also been shown to stabilize brain plaques and support the brain in people with dementia.

Ozone Therapy

Ozone, or O3 gas, is our newest IV addition. Ozone is a powerful anti-inflammatory IV as well as an antimicrobial IV. It can help eradicate unwanted viruses, parasites, bacteria, mold and yeast. We offer ozone therapy via the Zotzmann machine, which delivers ozone under hyperbaric pressures. This allows more oxygen delivery to your system than regular IV ozone therapies. Under a closed system, we remove blood from your body, mix it with gas and then infuse it back into your body. This can be done one (one pass) to ten (ten pass) time. We also offer Direct Intravenous (DIV) ozone. This is where ozone has is delivered directly into the blood stream very slowly by a medical doctor.

How to Get Started

Your journey begins with a wellness consultation, in which we will obtain your health history and baseline blood tests to assess kidney and liver functions. Based on your needs and health goals, you can choose to have a customized IV made by Sommer White, MD, or you can choose from the list of Nutrient Blends.

What My Patients Say

  • I had been dealing with insomnia for months—not having slept more than 5-6 hours per night. I was feeling very stressed. After my customized IV treatment, I slept a full 8 hours—the first in a long time! I felt more clear-headed and more positive overall.

  • When I came into the infusion clinic, I had been unwell for three weeks with chest congestion, feeling run down, and on the verge of getting sicker. I was extremely exhausted. I had my infusion, and that night I slept like a teenager. The next day I felt calm, happy, alert, awake, and alive. I felt so good that for the first time, I was able to manage others’ stress and not feel drained. I felt resilient to negativity and sickness around me. I felt like a real human being again! I felt so energized that I knew I needed to come back for more and tell everyone I knew.
